For 7/6 Per Day AT COLONIAL SUGAR COY. MILL. ,irri ' ' ' 1 ■ . (Rec. 10 p.m.) SUVA, June 22. The hands at the Colonial Sugar Refining Company’s mill at Lautoka struck this morning.. They refused lo start the crushing season until they were given higher pay. The hands at the Company’s mill at Ba recently} submitted demands. This includes one for wages at the rate of seven shillings and sixpence per day. They were submitted to tne Company’s head office. A reply has not been received. The Lautoka men are understood to be in agreement with the demands made byA the mill hands at Ba.
