U-BOATS’ NEW JOB
To Repel Invasion
(Rec. 10.0) LONDON, June 10. A “Daily Mail” naval writer stated: Hitler is already recalling U-boats from the Atlantic to fend his “European Fortress” against invasion. There is evidence that fai fewer U-boat packs have been operating against our .convoys. There is also evidence that U-boats are being concentrated at strategic points including their French coast bases, such as La Pallice and I’Onent and also at Trondheim.
