Sales: Bank of New Zealand 41s 6d. Reported: Wellington Woollens £8 ss; Wellington Woollens (pref.), late yesterday, £8 7s 6d. AUCKLAND. June 3.

A former member of a' provost unit of the New Zealand military forces was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment by Mr. J. Morling, S.M., to-day for the theft of money and property belonging to a military prisoner who was in his custody,. Accused was Norman Leslie Fincham, aged 33. He was charged with stealing at Wellington last December £l4 13s in money, a wris-t watch, a' suitcase and other articles of a total value of £lB. tie' admitted the offence. which occurred while military prisoners were passing through Wellington.
