MR. TIRIKATENE SELECTED. P.A. WELLINGTON, Mav 20. The selection of Mr. E. T. Tirikatiene, Member of Parliament lor Southern Maori, for recommendation for appointment to the Ministry.- to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Hon. P. K. Paikea, Member of the Executive Council, representing the native race was made by the Parliamenta'r'i Labour Party at a caucus this afternoon. ,He will be the first Maori Member I 'from the South island to be appointed to the Ministry.
