ANZAC DAY IN LONDON

WREATH PLACED ON CENOTAPH (Rec. 12.30.) LONDON, April 27. The customary large gathering of members of the Services, New Zealanders, Australians, Londoners, and others with Anzac or Now Zealand and Australian associations attended the Anzac Day service at Saint Mar-tins-in-the-Fields. Squadron Leader F. S. Barten-Babbage, R.A.F.. of Wanganui gave the address. Rt. Hon. S. M. Bruce, read the first and Mr W. J. Jordan the second Lesson. After the service, Mr Jordan forewent the traditional custom of placing a wreath on the Cenotaph on behalf of New Zealand by asking Brigadiers G. V. Gerard, Senior Chaplain to the New Zealand Forces, who recently arrived with repatriated war prisoners from Italy, to perform the ceremony.
