RUNANGA NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent) Mrs T. Lord of Ballance Street, was discharged from the Grey River Hospital last week. The two children of Mr and Mrs Weighman, Seddon Terrace, who are at present inmates of the Grey River Hospital, are improving slowly. Miss M. Jones who has been visiting her parents at Dunollie, has left on return to Wellington. There was a large attendance present at the Runanga State School concert, held in the Miners’ Hall on Monday evening. A dance held in the Rapahoe Hall on Saturday evening in honour of Mr M. Kennedy, who has recently returned from overseas, drew a fair attendance. A presentation was made to Mr Kennedy and the music for dancing was supplied by Messrs R. Forest, J. Forest, Purnell and Miss Smith.
