N.Z. AIR AWARDS
WELLINGTON, March 23.
Fighting., bombing, ahd mine-lay-ing exploits in many theatres of the air war are mentioned in citations accompanying five Distinguished Flying Crosses and three Distinguish’ ed Flying Medals awarded to members of the New Zealand air personnei serving overseas. Official notification of the decorat’ons has been received from London by the Air Department. The recipients are:— D.F.C.:— Flight Lieutenant William Arthur Doleman Ball, R.N.z.A.F. whose mother is Mrs. W. Herbert, Wellington; Flight Lieutenant John Edwin Ashley Williams, RA.F.: Acting Flight Lieutenant James Arnold Harrison, R.N.Z.A.F., whose wife is Mrs. H. A. Harrison, Dunedin; inying Officer Jack Colin Parker. R.N.Z.A.F.. whose father is Mr. A. E. Parker. Motueka; and Flying Officer Lindsay Johnston Drummond, R.N.Z.A.F. whose wife is Mrs. B. J. Drummond. Auckland.
D.F.M.: — Flight Sergeant John David Monroe Herron, R.N.Z.A.F., whose father is Mr. J. W. Herron, Christchurch; Flight Sergeant William Leonard Harvey, R.N.Z.A.F. whose father is Mr. W. R. Harvey, Green Island, Dunedin; Flight sergeant William John Muir Low Barclay, R.N.Z.A.F., whose father is Mr. G. M. L. Barclay, Dunedin
