BLITZ OPENING FOR EXPLORATION.
(Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON. Feb. 23. Archaelogists are anxious to secure Government authority to explore Roman remains under London's bomb- areas before the rebuilding of the city begins. The “Daily Telegraph” quotes an archaeologist as saving that the chance of increasing the knowledge of Roman London is lost forever if this opportunity is missed. One hundred acres of Roman London’s area of 330 acres lie under bombed buildings. A street, approximately in line with Cheapside', was an important Roman thoroughfare. It may be possible to reconstruct a picture of the buildings and everyday life of Roman London,
