BOMBAY. Feb. 16

Gandhi contracted a chill through insisting on spending most of the day on the verandah of the palace where he is conducting his fast. His army of s ! x doctors met this morning to discuss his condition. Later, it was announced that Gandhi’s condition had steadily deteriorated during the past 24 hours. He is suffering from weakness, consequent on nausea.
