[Our Own Correspondent.] A most enjoyable, afternoon was spent in the Fire Brigade Hall on Thursday afternoon by a’ large number of members of the Women’s institute and friends who gathered to bid farewell to a valued member. On behalf of some friends she presented Mrs. Muir with a fruit salad set. In replying Mrs. Muir thanked everyone for their kind wishes and for the nice presents and invited them tn visit her when m Greymouth. “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow” was heartily sung, and three cheers were called for the guest, lhe results of the games were as follows: Sailing the balloon: Mrs. Busch s team 1; Guessing the adverts.: Mrs. Adamson 1; Lucky Cup: Mrs. Scott; Treasure hunt: Mrs. Donaldson 1; Best dart thrower: Mrs. Donaldson; Lucky spot waltz: Mesdames Muir and Head.
