U.S. WOUNDED
VISITED BY MR. FRASER. P.A. ‘ AUCKLAND, Nov. 22. The Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) arrived in Auckland from Wellington by train on Saturday. During the week-end he visited the American naval hospital. He inspected deienfe works and certain defences. He left for Wellington again to-night. A party of wounded American servicemen from the Solomon Islands now in New Zealand is receiving skilled attention in well-prepared hospitals. The American Red Cross is co-operating with the services m giving them the necessary comforts, and many New Zealand organisations and private individuals are also doing all they can to entertain and help the men IL can be expected that those men who make a complete recoverywill in due time return to active service, while any who may be permanently incapacitated will be sent to the United States. Like New Zealanders who have come back from the Middle East, the Americans are unfailingly cheerful and looking forward" to getting back on their teet. They are satisfied that they have helped to start rolling the Japanese baclc to Tokio..
