SHIP TORPEDOED

OFF EAST AFRICA PRETORIA, Nov. 5. A Norwegian steamer yesterday afternoon was torpedoed off Inyack Island, at the entrance to Lourenco Marques Harbour, and sank almost immediately. A Greek steamer putting out to sea saw the attack and fired three ’ shots at a submarine which disappeared. A harbour tug picked up 42 survivors but 25 members of the crew are missing.
