TO MAKE PHENOMENAL WEAPONS OUTPUT.
(Rec 8 p.m.), WASHINGTON, 1 June 16 Hon. O. Lyttelton, who has obviously been impressed with the speed of America’s war production, disclosed, (after configuring with President Roosevelt, that a single American firm will be burning out weapons at the rate of four thousand million dollars worth yearly by the end of the present year. Mr Lyttelton illustrated this unnamed company’s gigantic scope pointing out that it was equivalent to building a Panama C’anal every six weeks.
