BRITISH STAFF CHIEF
ARRIVES IN U.S. WASHINGTON, June 16. Lieutenant-General Gordon MacCready has arrived to assume the post of Chief of the British Army Staff, succeeding Lieutenant-General Sir Colville Wemyss. General MacCready’s warfare designed the Bren carrier and he is one of the leading advocates of the Waltzing Matilda tank.
