WELLINGTON’S WET MONTH. P.A. WELLINGTON. June 1.. Though it just managed to beat the rainfall! record bv a couple of Points that fell yesterday, the* May just gone was easily the most sunless ever experienced in Wellington, the hours of sunshine totalling 66.5 against the normal of 130.4. Rain fell on 22 days, registering 11.85 inches, against the normal 4.16. Six gales made it the second windiest May recorded. Temperatures were nracticallv normal, being an average of 52 degrees ao-ninst 51.4.
