WEDDING

CARSON—DONALDSON. The wedding was solemnised recently at St. John’s Presbyterian Church of, Freda Marion, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Donaldson, Ngahere, and Arthur Joseph, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Carson, Lyttelton. Rev. As. D. Horwell presided. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of cream satin cut on classical lines, the full skirt tailing into a short train at the back. Her veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of cream chrysanthemurns. Attending the bride was her sister, Vera, wearing pale pink taffeta and lace frock and a pink tulle veil held by a coronet of pleated tulle and flowers to tone. She carried a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums and abutilons. Mr. P. East was best man. At the reception, held later at Harker’s, the bride’s mother, wearing ■a black ensemble received the guests, and was assisted by the bridegroom’s mother, who wore a navy ensemble. For travelling, the bride wore a plum and navy checked suit with matching accessories.
