The Brunner Patriotic Committee acknowledge the follownng donations to their allotment of the All Purposes Appeal: Mr. S.' B. Quintrell £5; J. Smeaton £l. Members of the Committee, and W.W.S'.A. will make a house-to-house canvass of the Borough on Saturday, when it is hoped <a generous response to this appeal will be forth-coming. All donations of 5/- and over will be acknowledged ♦through the press. Mr. C. Dixon, leaves for camp on Saturday for an intensive course in military training.

Mr. A. McNeish leaves on Saturday for Christchurch, for a final interview before he is admitted to the Royal Navy. Signaller R. Steel of the Royal Navy, who has been visiting his parents in Taylorville, leaves on Saturday.
