In the Canadian man power plebiscite held ■on Monday, the returns up to now, though incomplete, recorded a decisive ‘.‘Yes” majority., The returns so fat are:—: Affirmative .......... 867,631 Negative 592,672 Majority 274,959 Total votes so far 1,460,303

The predominantly French Quebec Province has ' alone showed a majority-'of negative votes. In the event of the majority being “Yes,” (the Dominion Government will be released from its past pledges against conscription for overseas service.
