The valley is about two hundred miles north-west of Port Moresby.
. The enemy are.rapidly coming into a position where it will be possible to send over small parties of Japanese to Port Moresby, but these will prove vulnerable. ,
It is also obvious that the enemy is seeking for aerodromes in the Markham Valley.
