GEN. WAVELL’S COMMENT. (Rec. 7.30). LONDON, March 15. Sneaking at New Delhi, General Wavell said that it was possible that Japan would attack Russia. From the Japanese viewpoint. Russia was a neighbouring danger. She might ' immediately decide to remove it. The Japanese would not attack Russia unless they were certain of quick and easy success. General Wavell said he thought that Russia, while she was engaged against Germany, would not move against Japan, unless she were attacked or unless she anticipated attack.
