Says Japanese Premier S.W. PACIFIC ALREADY CAPTURED. (Rec. 5.5.) TOKIO, March 12. Speaking at a special session of the Japanese Diet to celebrate the conquest of the Netherlands East Indies the Prime Minister (General Tojo) said: “Britain and the United States, who underrated the national strength of J’a'pan, refusec| to satisfy the claims to which she was entitled, thus forcing Japan into open hostilities. “The main fleet of the United States and of Britain has already disappeared from the surface of the Pacific. All of the enemy strongholds in the South-west Pacific are now in Japanese hands. “Japan must continue her military operations. She must smash the United States and Britain, and must establish the New Order of Greater Asia.

“China’s communications with the United States and with Britain were cut when Rangoon fell. The Chungking regime is now completely isolated.’’

He declared that America and Britain could only give Chungking worthless gold, for which the Chinese people would sacrifice their flesh and blood.
