BRUNNER E.P.S. TRIAL
RAIN INTERFERES. The Brunner E.P.S. held a trial of the organisation last night. The following report was given by the secretary (Mr W. Purdy) with the approval of the Mayor (Mr J. Smeaton): — •‘Dr. Kent has reported that a demonstration was a huge success from the organising and medical viewpoint. From a black-out point of view it was a complete failure. Bad' weather somewhat prevented the demonstration being particularly pleasant. Even the ‘casualties’ got drenched. We ’nope to have ground sheets for the next try-out. An effort- has been made to obtain these, but it. was unsuccessful. If they cannot be obtained, sustitutes will be used. -Everybody did their best, stretcher bearers and' hospital aids doing remarkably good work. From a fire-lighting point, of view, no fire could live in the torrential downpour. The warning signals are quite aduible in all parts of the district. The amateur •traffic cops’ behaved in a very efficient manner. Good work Brunner. But get those lights darkened!” ,
