Auckland R.S.A. Proposal DISLIKED BY HEADS
WELLINGTON, October 3 After considering the P r r °P2 sal ing before the meeting of the Auckland R.S.A. on October 21 to -Iter the constitution from a non-partj i a poetical basis, the Dominion Executive Committee of the New Zealano R.S.A has decided, firstly, to steps to dissuade the Auckland K.b.A from party political actionj secondly-: that a circular be sent to every members of the Auckland branch, showing reasons why it should not a d°P ( party political action; thirdly, that Auckland be requested to invite two representatives from the New Zealand R S.A. to attend and address its meeting on October 21. The Dominion Executive Comma,tee at a recent meeting, unanimously approved that the pattern of the headstones and lay-out of soldiers icemeteries for the graves of deceased members of the forces from tlm present war should be the same as for the fallen of the Great War ine question arose in connection with the prcposal to lay out an extension to a soldiers’ cemetery in a lawn without kerbs or headstones, the graves baing merely marked by bronze plates set level with the turf. That ex-servicemen in the present war who are mmebers of the Assn, should be afforded an opportunity to act as delegates t 0 the forthcoming extraordinary general meeting or the Dominion Council was the unanimous opinion at the recent meeting of the Dominion Executive Committee. Provisions to facilitate this will be considered by all branches at the Dominion Council - meeting on October 29 and 30.
