WEDDING

HUNT—ANDERSON. At St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Greymouth,, yesterday,’ the marriage took ijlace of Jean Wallace, eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. W. Anderson. Main Road. Blackball, to William Thomas, eldest son of Mr. and the late Mrs. T. Hunt, Timaru. Rev. F. H. Robertson officiated. Miss M. Coburn was at the organ and during the- signing of the register, Mrs. Nees sang “My Prayer.” The bride, who was escorted by Mr. A. Millar (Hokitika). _ was attired in a frock of white French lace over white satin-de-beaute. The gathered bodice with Victorian sleeves was finished with French satin 1115’ trimming and a spray of orange blossom at the neck, also tiny loops and buttons to the back waist. A pleated back panel in the semi-fitting skirt fell into , a circular train. Her embroidered tulle veil, which was lent by Mrs. A. J. Walker (Blackball). was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom, and fell to form a second train. She carried a sheaf of lilies.

Miss Betty Anderson, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, wearing a frock of pink taffeta made with a full flare skirt .cut on classical > lines, and a shirred bodice- front finished with a square neck with tiny scalloped edge. Over her frock she wore a bolero with scalloped edge and quilted fronts. Her head-dress was a floral toque, and she carried a sheaf of .hyacinths and cyclamen to tone. Jennifer Walker (Blackball), as flower girl, was wearing a fulllength frock of white organdie oyer rosebud satin, trimmed with t.mv flowers at neck and hem. She wore a headband of blue and pink flowers and carried a nosy of sweet peas. The best man was Gunner A. C. Hunt, Godlev Head, brother of the bridegroom. The reception was held at Hern Moore’s, yvhere the bride’s mother received the guests wearing a frock of black and white georgette with accessories to tone and a shoulder spray of freesias. The newly-mar-ried couple left by thp railcar for Christchurch and’ Timaru. The bride travelled in a black floral frock under a black fur coat, witn accessories to tone. Their home wn be in Blackball.
