DOMINION NEWS

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, July 21. Falling from the roof of a shed at Mason Brothers’ premises at Freeman’s Bay, an apprentice engineer was killed. The victim was George Alec Cook, aged 17, a son of Mr H. Cook, of Devonport. An ambulance and a doctor were called immediately but the lad was dead on their arrival.

A proposed regulation that no person should be within the precincts of the Town Hall after 7.45 on the night of the annual graduation ceremony unless without disguise, and properly dressed, was contained in a renort from the ceremonies committee presented at a meeting of the Auckland University College Council.
