FOR AUTONOMY. LONDON, April 21. Mr Gandhi has declined to heed an appeal from Indian leaders, to discontinue his campaign of civil disobedience, says the British United
Press correspondent at Bombay. Mr Gandhi denied absolutely that the movement was against the Muslims or against the British. He said that, if Britain were only 'true to India, everything could be settled satisfactorily. Unfortunately, British statesmen had chosen the wrong path, to put imaginary obstacles in the way of India’s freedom.
