BRITISH WORKERS

ENVOY IN NEW ZEALAND. AUCKLAND, April 22. Bearing a message from organised labour: in ; Britain, Mr. William Holmes, a past president of the Trades Union Congress, and General Secretary to the Agricultural workers of the United Kingdom, is expected to arrive this week. He will be met by Hon P. C. Webb, the Mayor (Sir E. Davies), and labour representatives. A civic reception wi.l be tendered on Thursday evening, prior to his departure for Wellington, where he will meet members of the Government and ' subsequently visit other parts of New Zealand to deliver a message to trade unions and the general public.
