lOur Own Corresoondent] Miss I. Stack, who has been on tne teaching staff at Ru Ru School for the past four years 1 , has received notice of her transfer to Glen Iti, Timaru, and leaves at the end of March. Mr Alan Lake, sole teacher at Aratika, leaves shortly on transfer to Granity.

Mr H. A. Taylor, of Moana, entered hospital on Friday to undergo treatment, and hi s many friends wish him a speedy recovery. Ideal conditions prevailed on Lake Brunner on Sunday afternoon, when the third of a series of six races was sailed. Mystic was placed first, Kia Ora second, and Foam third. Points gained to date are a s follows: Mystic 6, Kia Ora 4. Viscuna 3, Mako 2, Majestic 2 and Foam 1.
