CHILD ENDOWMENT
Cost to Australia SYDNEY, January IS. It is estimated that lhe Federal Government’s child endowment scheme will cost between nine and ten million pounds a year. New South Wales taxpayers will benefit from the scheme, as it is proposed to reduce th e State taxation by £1,470,000—the amount spent on child endowment last year—when the Federal scheme comes into operation.
