MEN ELECTROCUTED

Harvesting Accident CARTERTON. January 1. Two men were killed and two others were injured during harvesting operations on the property of H. H. R. Renal, of Kokotau, six miles from Carterton, about four o’clock on Tuesday afternoon. Those killed were:— Edwin James,, aged about fortytwo, married. Bertie W. Renall, aged about thirtyfive. A married man named Proctor (details of whom at present are unavailable), was very seriously ■ burnt, and is dangerously ill in hospital. J'ohn Rayner suffered slight burns, not requiring admission to hospital. The men were building a stack when a wire on the elevator broke. They were on the elevator mending the wire, which slipped, and shortcircuited over an eleven-thousand volt line.
