N.Z. CASUALTIES
In Western Desert WELLINGTON. January 1. The following casualty announcement has been made in connection with the Western Desert:— Died of wounds—Corporal Osbert Thornton Pussell, who previously was reported wounded, and is now reported to have died of wounds. His next to kin is Mr O. Pussell, of Kimbolton, his father. Driver Alfred Bertram Hurst, who previously was reported wounded and is now reported to have died of wounds. His next to kin is Mr G Hurst of North of Island, his father. Lance Corporal Vernon Lindsay Norrish who previously was reported as missing, and is now reported to have died of wounds. His next of kin is Mr V. A. Norrish. of St. Albans, Christchurch.
N.Z. MEN WOUNDED. / WELLINGTON. January 1. The following official list from the N.Z.E.F. in the Middle East of men wounded in the Western Desert, has been issued: — Sergeant Cecil Henry Broomfield. Next of kin Mrs C. H. Broomfield, 92 Happy Valley Road. Wellington (wife). Driver Edward Spencer Staveley. Next of kin, Mr G. Staveley, 70 Wellington Road. Wellington (brother). Gunner Robert High Burton. Next of kin, Mrs M. M. Burton, 28 Kildare Avenue, St. Heliers (wife).
