[Our Own Correspondent] Mr s W. Burns returned on Monday from a holiday spent in Christchurch. Miss O. Connew (Waimangaroa), is the guest of Mr and Mrs L. Richardson, of Stillwater. Captain Murray (Brunner Salvation Army Corps) returned on Saturday after spending furlough in Canterbury. ' \ Mrs G. Mellett has arrived from Waimangaroa on a visit to her parents at Dobson. \ Mr and Mrs A. Graham return today from Christchurch after attending the funeral of the latter’s brother, the late Thomas Walton, who was accidentally drowned at Lyttelton on Friday. The deceased was well known in this district, having resided here for a number of years. He was born in England 29 years ago, where his mother and brother and sister reside, three brothers and one sister being resident in New Zealand.
