Y.M.C.A. Hall Destroyed LOSS AT WAI KAREMOANA. GISBORNE, September 10. The Y.M.C.A. hall at the Tuai hydro-electric construction works, at Wa'ikaremoana, was destroyed by (ire either late on Sunday night or aarly on Monday morning. Situated some distance from the power works, the ha’l, valued at approximately £l2OO, was leased to the association by the Public Works Department. The contents were destroyed, the Y.M.C.A. losing a radio, a piano and two billiard tables. , As the cause of the lire, which is .believed to have broken out m an outside porch, is a complete mystery, the police are making investigations.
