[Per Press Association] r WELLINGTON, August 5. | ' The weather report is as follows: General situation: An intense anticyclone i s centred to the east, ana still covers the Dominion, but a depression is advancing on to the southwest of the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Winds light to moderate, easterly to northerly; freshening in the South Island. Seas in New Zealand waters slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate northerly winds and moderate seas, but wind and sea are 'jater gradually in the vscutherfn portion. Weather fair to fine at first almost generally. Some increase in cloudiness, however, and scattered light rain are developing in North Auckland, and on the west coast of the South Island. A frosty night, with some morning coastal fogs, but temperatures ar e gradually rising.
