LATEST APPOINTMENTS WELLINGTON, August 3. The following appointments and promotions of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force were gazetted this week:— Equipment Branch — SquadronLeader T. J. Denton is granted the acting rank of Wing Commander; A. N. V. Dobbs and P. G. E. Williams are granted temporary commissions in the rank of flying officer. Administrative and Special Duties Branch—K. J. Crichton and C. C. N. Johnston are granted temporary commissions in the rank of flying officer. General Duties Branch—The following are granted temporary commissions the rank of pilot officer (on probation)—M. B. Clarke, D. B. Collie, R. Daniel (Greymouth), T. M. deDenne, H. A. Dobyn, J. G. Dunstan, H. A. Eaton, G. H. Francis, G. W. Ham-in, D. J. V. Henry A. M. Hobbs, J. R. Hutcheson, A. J. Hvams, G. M. Marshall, H. L. Piper, V. S. Reynolds, A. G. Shaw, A. G. Sjeverk, F. J. Steel. R. Webb, R. A. H. White. Equipment Branch, Section lI—N. E. Higgs is granted an honorary commission in the rank of flight lieutenant as engineer officer.
