LABOUR IDEALS CHALLENGED

The invasion of Denmark and Norway was another example of ths Nazi scheme of aggression to attain world power, said Mr. W. Forgan Smith, Premier of Quensland, upon his arrival by the Mariposa from Pago Pago. All members of British communities, he said, should realise that any extension of the Nazi influence struck at the ver v root of liberties which had grown over the years “Particularly does this app'y to Labour,” ho said- “Labour ideals and principles challenge the Nazi doctrine at its bases. We stand for human life and liberty and the rule of law as against force. Labour principles and Nazi doctrines cannot live in this world together—that is a fundamental fact.”
