HITLER'S SECRET WEAPON

An Airmme ? AMERICAN EXPERT’S OPINION. (Received March 14, 9.50 p.m.) WASHINGTON, March 14. Mr. Lester Barlow, a specialist on aerial bombs, testifying before the Senate Military Affairs Committee, said that Herr Hitler’s secret weapon probably was an air-mine. It would be filled with liquid oxygen and with some form of carbon. The Germans had experimented with such a weapon at the siege of Barcelona. It had not been used since, because, although it has destructive effects, it is highly dangerous to carry by an aeroplane. Mr. Barlow described a similar bomb which he wants to demonstrate for the United States Government. He claimed that it is one vastly superior to the German air-mine.
