TREND OF CAPITALISM.

[To The Editor]. Sir, —The Communist viewpoint may be of interest even to those who are not Communists. Similarly, the Communist may be interested in some of the other “isms.” A little variety would stimulate interest, if only in a provocative way. For instance, much might be said for Capitalism. The most wonderful progress and achievement has been associated with Capitalism. Of course, much remains to be done, but in this respect it is in line with other “isms.” It has, in fact, a great advantage. There is no reason why the general upward trend of the graph of wages and cond.tions under Capitalism should not continue. It cannot be denied that the general implication of increased production is increased distribution. —I am. etc., T. S.
