ACCIDENTS

FIVE PEOPLE INJURED HASTINGS, February 11. Five received slight injuries when two motor-cars collided head-on in a heavy rainstorm on the main, road 10 miles south of Hastings late on Saturday afternoon. The injured were Clement Leonard Maskey, .William > Alsop, Stewart Munro, K. Retter, and Miss Katherine Williams. All suffered cuts about the head, abrasions and shock. The men are all residents of Palmerston North. The vehicles were practically ; wrecked by the severe impact.
