BARRYTOWN. The Barryown dredge ran 181 hours during the first half of this month, treating 81,000 cubic yards, for a return of 23 ounces of smelted gold. kanieri. The Kanieri dredge ran 219 hours, in the first half of September, putting through 109,000 cubic yards, for a return of 402 ounces of smelted gold. ARAHURA. ALEXANDER, The Alexander mine report for week ended September 14 is:— No. 6 Level —A rise is about to be commenced above the north end of this level in an endeavour to intersect the lode, which appears to be laying flat above. This, with the return of 4200 z 6dwt previously reported, makes a total return of 8340 z 14dwt from the paddock. A further small return from the lower boxes has still to come to hand. PADDY'S POINT. Paddy’s Point return for 22 days’ sluicing was 30oz 16dwt. RIMU FLAT. Rimu Flat dredge return on Monday for 122 hours was 168 oz 14dwts, from 43,645 yards .
