BARRYTOWN. The Barryown dredge ran 181 hours during the first half of this month, treating 81,000 cubic yards, for a return of 23 ounces of smelted gold. kanieri. The Kanieri dredge ran 219 hours, in the first half of September, putting through 109,000 cubic yards, for a return of 402 ounces of smelted gold. ARAHURA. Arahura dredge ran 254 hours in the first half of this month, and treated 169,000 cubic yards, for a return of 569 oz of smelted gold. ALEXANDER, The Alexander mine report for week ended September 14 is:— No. 6 Level —A rise is about to be commenced above the north end of this level in an endeavour to intersect the lode, which appears to be laying flat above. The sinking of a winze on the block of ore below this level has been held over until the. rise has been put up, or more labour available Stoping the block of ore above this level is still in operation. Stoping above the intermediate level is in progress, and a considerable amount of filling is being done by driving into the hard walls of the stopes. During the week 70 tons of ore were sent to the battery.

OKARITO. The Okarito wash-up for 125* hours’ dredging totalled 230 z Sdwt. PADDY’S POINT. Paddy’s Point return for 22 days sluicing was 30oz 16dwt. NOKOMAI. The secretary of the Nokomai Gold Mining Company, Ltd., reports a further wash-up of the present paddock, which yielded a return of 4140 z Bdwt. This, with the return of 4200 z 6dwt previously reported, makes a total return of 8340 z 14dwt from the paddock. A further small return from the lower boxes has still to come to hand. PADDY'S POINT. Paddy’s Point return for 22 days’ sluicing was 30oz 16dwt. RIMU FLAT. Rimu Flat dredge return on Monday for 122 hours was 168 oz 14dwts, from 43,645 yards .
