management committee. The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the West Coast Rugby League Centre was held last evening when there were present Messrs P. Blanchlield Chairman), JKidd W: Hopkins, A. Feilding, J. Stokes, B. Rathbun, B. Ramsay, J. JAnisy, H. Bassett (Referees’ Association), P. Sweetman (Junior Advisory Board), T.' F. McKenzie (Organise’ Queen Carnival), and W. Moore (Secretary). A vote of condolence was passed with the relatives of the late Mr J. Brown (Dunollie). The referee in the Blackball-Marist senior match last? Sunday, Mr W. Allan, reported that he had ordered off C. Mountford, a Blackball player for allegedly deliberately kicking a Marist player, after being tackled. He had never previously had occasion to warn this player. Mountford and the Marist player concerned appeared before the committee and gave a complete denial to any deliberate action on the part of Mountford. In view of the doubt that existed over the incident, it was decided that no further action be taken in the matter. In view of the byes in the Bradshaw Cup Competition, it was decided that Ngahere and Marist be given permit sion to play friendly fixtures at the week-end. ’ Accounts totalling £39 19s 4d were passed for payment. ’ It was decided that the junior one- ' round competition carry the Challenge Shield, when the holders are playing a home game. It was decided to seek an explanation from the Marist Club as to the non-fulfilment of its fixture with Kumara last week-end, and also its reason for not advising Kumara of its inability to field a team.
