Baillie. c , The Westland Sub-Union forwarded a request from the Kokatahi SubUnion that the Graham Wise Cup match with Te Kinga, be played at Kumara on September 16. The fixture was approved. - The Kiwi Club, through the Westland Sub-Union notified that it was appealing to the New Zealand Union on the Union’s decision in declaring that Blaketown’s forfeit to them, on the occasion on which all fixtures was postponed was void. It was decided to reply to the Magpies Club regarding its complaint re. fixtures in the terms set out by the Fixtures Committee. United thirds were granted permission to travel to Christchurch on Saturday to play a match with the Albion Club. The Hurunui Sub-Union wrote, asking if a representative game could be | arranged at Greymouth on September 16 or 23. It was decided to refer the request. Io the Westland Sub-Union, suggest- ‘ ing that the match be played at Hokitika on September 16. The Excelsior Club, Hokitika, again wrote, stating that when club fixtures were resumed on September 23, they would have missed 11 consecutive club matches. It was decided to refer the matter to the Fixtures Committee for an explanation. Mr T. Mclntosh was appointed manager of the West Coast team to play Canterbury on Saturday, and Mr M. Olsen, assistant-manager. R. R. King was appointed captain and R. Vincent vice-captain. The selectors were requested to am nounce the 19 players for the West Coast representative team to play Buller on September 16, after Saturday's match with Canterbury. These players are to assemble at Greymouth on Sunday next, and remain in training during the following week, in view of the Seddon Shield match with Bulier on September 16. It was decided that no fixtures be played locally on Saturday next. It was decided to thank Miss Williams for repairing representative jerseys.

CHANGE IN REP. TEAM. Jack Nolan, emergency back for the Wset Coast team notified that he was unavailable owing to injury, and has been replaced by Jordan (Westland). WATERSIDERS’ MATCH. The Tony Negri Challenge Cup was at stake for the first time, when the ■Lyttelton and Greymouth Watersiders met at Cobden on Sunday last, and Greymouth proved the victors by six points to three, after a fine forward game, which was very even. All Black, Jack Steel was the referee. Preston scored a try for the winners and Pascoe, the Greymouth captain, goaied from a penalty. The Lyttelton captain, Miller, scored for Lyttelton. Morrisey, Pascoe, Kirkwood, King and Dowling were outstanding for Greymouth, and G. Page and Miller for Lyttelton. The visitors were hospitably entertained and the match promises to be an annual event, with the possibility of the holders going on tour next season.
