BOWLING

KARORO CLUB MEETING. At a meeting of the committee of the Karoro Bowling Club there were present: Messrs R. W. Sansom (chairman), J. Kyle, A. Lemin, G. Absalom, W. Young, and J. Saunders (secretary). A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mrs Absalom was passed. , The request of the Centennial Celebrations Committee for the holding of ithe West Coast Bowling Tournament next February was supported by the Committee. Accounts totalling £7 were passed for payment. < After members had reported on the state of the Club’s green it was unanimously agreed to open the season on Saturday, ’September 23. A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr J. Darwell for‘ his presentation of a cup for annual competition, and n was decided to allot; the trophy to the champion rinks.
