LEAGUE FOOTBALL
WEST COAST CENTRE MEETING. Mr P. Blanchfield (President) was in the chair at the weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the West Coast Rugby League last evening, when there were also present Messrs B. Ramsay, A. Kyle, W. Hopkins, B. Rathbun.’ J. Kidd. P. Sweetman (Junior Advisory Board). H. Bassett (Referee’s Association), and W. Moore (Secretary). The Nelson Creek Club requestca that they be given a home match during the coming week-end. as they had to travel during the last two weekends The Secretary said that Rapahoe could not field a travelling team owing to sickness and injured players, but could get a team at Rapahoe. Mr Kyle said that the change last Sunday had been agreed to by both clubs ’ 1 The letter was referred to the Fixtures Committee for favourable consideration.
Blackball applied for the re-classi-fication of W. Dillon to third grade from junior grade. The application was granted subject to the player’s weight making him eligible. The same club’s application for the re-instatement of R. H. Hale was ordered to be forwarded to the New Zealand Council with a favourable recommendation. i Brunner Club wrote approving of the transfer of C. McKane to Blackball Club, but objecting to the transfer of R. Ross to Marist. as he was unfinancial with' the club. The club also requested the transfer of P. Callanan from Runatnga Club. It was decided to notify Ross that his transfer could not be granted until he was financial with the Brunner Club, and to grant the transfer of Callanan, subject to Runanga’s approval It was also decided that all applications must bo made personally by th l ' applicants and not by clubs. The referee of the Runanga-Nga-here senior match on Sunday (Mr O Pope) reported ordering off GiUman and Balderstone (Ngahere) and Kielv (Runanga) for fighting. It was decided to request the three players and referee concerned to appear before the next meetinn-. !f this proved to be impossible, to state their case in writing. I It was decided to purchase new sejs of senior and junior representative jerseys, in the style, viz., al l reel bodies with white V shaped nock.

Junior: Marist v. Rapahoe at Wjngliani Park, 2.30 p.m. (J. Mathews). Runanga v. Brunner at Brunner, 2.30 p.m. (A. Williams). Nelson Creek v. Rapahoe at Nelson Creek, 2.30 p.m. (M. O’Brien). Kumara a bye.
Third Grade: Marist v. Blackball at Wingham Park, 2.30 p.m. ( H. Bassett). Ngahere v. Rapahoe at Rapahoe, 2.30 p.m. (M. Hall). Runanga a bye.
Fourth Grade: Marist v. Runanga at Runanga. 1.30 p.m. (J. Medlin). Blackball v. Brunner at Blackball, 2.30 p.m. (G. Pope).
Sixth Grade (Saturday): Blackball v. Runanga A at Blac-K--ball, 2.30 p.m.. (W. McNaughton.). Runanga B v. Marist A at Runanga, 2.30 p.m. (J. Medlin). Kumara v. Marist at Wingham Park, 2.30 p.m. (J. Griffen).
