Engaged for N.Z, Work MR HODGENS’ SUCCESSFUL MISSION. [Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] (Received March 30, 11.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 30. Mr Joseph Hodgens, the New Zealand Parliamentarian, who is enlisting Australian tradesmen for Dominion industry, stated to-day that he had already' engaged three hundred and eighty-seven of the nve hundred men that were required *or the building trade in New Zealand, and that he hoped to get the remainder in Brisbane.

Mr Hodgens added that he had received a letter from Hon. H. T. Armstrong (Minister in Charge of State Housing), stating the men so far sent to New Zealand were of an excellent type, and were likely to prove most satisfactory.

Mr Hodgens is not returning to New Zealand for two
