BREAKS DOWN OFF LYTTELTON.

CHRISTCHURCH, March 30. The Canterbury Steam Shipping Company’s motorship, “Storm,” which left Lyttelton at noon to-day for Wellington, broke down about 8 miles off the heads about 7 p.m. She signalled for a tug, and the Lyttelton Harbour Board’s tug was sent to her assistance. LATER.

The “Storm” was towed back to Lyttelton by the tug late to-nignt, and she has anchored in the stream for the night. __
