[Our Own Correspondent] In the Salvation Army Hall, Taylor ville, on Monday evening, the annual concert and prize-giving took place. Captain Read, of Greymouth, presided. The programme presented was as follows: Opening song, company;, Bible reading, Captain Read; duet and chorus, May Fentiman and Mervyn Eder; primary classes, “Our Toys’’; 'duet, Rena and. Eleanor Bell, “I Don’t Want to Play in Your Yard”; “Umbrella Lessons,” senior girls; company song, “Travel Along”; action song, “Beautiful Flowers”; song, Margaret Coates; recitation, Mary McNeish; duet, Eleanor Bell and Leslie Reid; duet, Rena and Eleanor Bell; violin solo, Robertei McNeish; recitation, Basil Eder; Maori songs. Before concluding the concert, Captain Stone apologised for the short programme. A number of Dobson pupils were to give items, but owing to .boisterous Weather were unable to attend. He also thanked Captain and Mrs Read, of Greymouth, for their assistance C and everyone who had helped to make the concert a success. Captain Read then presented the prizes to the children who attend the Sunday School. . Taylorville School boys visited Dobson on Monday afternoon and defeat-

ed Dobson boys in a friendly game of cricket. The successful players at the card party held in Taylorville on Monday were Mrs R. Mclnnis 1, Mrs P. Moore 2.
