FAMILY INJURED

Car Struck by Express r Per Press Association.] PARLMERSTON N., December 2. < At Shannon, this afternoon, the southbound Napier express struck a car driven by Arthur John Hodge, a sharemilker, of Moutoa, who was accompanied by his wife and three children. . . Those in the car were all injured; and were taken to hospital. The car, an old touring model, was considerably damaged. It was carried 100 feet beyond the crossing. The injured were:— John Hodge: Head injuries and a fracture of the left thigh. Mrs Hodge: Shock. Bertha Hodge, aged 16; fracture of the left thigh. Dorothy Hodge, aged 5; a broken leg. Edwin Hodge, aged 2; possibly internal injuries.
