EXPLOSION ACCIDENT

ON BULLER GORGE LINE. WORKER INJURED. [Per Press Association.] WESTPORT, November 30. When a charge of gelignite exploded to-day while he was tamping a hole John Penberth, aged 21, married, employed by the Public Works Department, on the Buller-Inangahua Railway, was injured, and removed to the Buller Hospital. The tamping rod blew out, and his head, face and right arm suffered considerably. His condition to-night is fair.
