AUCKLAND FAREWELL.
AUCKLAND, November 30.
After marching up Queen St. to the Town Hall, early this afternoon, the Officers and men of H.M.S. Achilles were tendered a civic farewell by the Mayor, Sir Davis, and a large gathering of citizerts. The cruiser, which is the flagship of the New Zealand | station, leaves on Friday) morning for England, to be refitted) She will return to New. Zealand next ; year on a new commission. It is anticipated the company of the Achilles then will be almost entirely New Zealand ratings. The Officers and most of the imperial ratings will be transferred to ptfier .jships.
